Marija Aupy (piano), Thomas Gautier (violin) and Laurent Will (clarinet). These three musicians from Strasbourg are passionate about chamber music, and for this occasion they are exploring the 20th-century repertoire. The three works on the programme have a wide variety of moods - folk, lyrical, fairground, scenic. With their short, colourful movements, these pieces will take you in turn to the plains of Armenia, to an extravagant costume party where the fate of Alain, an orphan, is played out, or to meet a poor soldier who shows the Devil how to use the violin, his soul. Three original worlds of fascinating rhythms and exotic harmonies.
