The convent Mont Sainte Odile Réf 07

A major pilgrimage site dedicated to St. Odilia, the patron saint of Alsatians, the convent is one of Alsace's must-see sites. Guided tour of the monastery founded by the patron saint of Alsace in the 7th century. In the Middle Ages, the monastery was destroyed and rebuilt by Abbess Herrade de Landsberg, who composed the "Hortus Deliciarum", considered the 1st Christian and secular encyclopedia of the Middle Ages. Free time to admire the magnificent panorama of the Alsace Plain, Strasbourg and the Black Forest. Guided tours of the sanctuary for groups are by audiophone only, in keeping with the spirit of the place. If the group is equipped with its own audiophones, a "right to speak" fee of €60 must be paid to the site's sales outlet. Otherwise, rental audiophones are compulsory, at €4 per person, to be collected from the store. Audiophones are booked through the tourist office. Price: 160€ for an hour's guiding (+ about 20 minutes to collect and return the audiophones), payable to the tourist office. Add audiophones at €4/person or €60 "right to speak" to be paid at the site's sales outlet.
