The Ambassadors transport you to the Highlands of the 1720s!

With Robert Getchell tenor, Alexis Kossenko conducting, flute and recorder, Virginie Descharmes violin, Ondine Lacorne-Hébrard viola da gamba, Benjamin Narvey lute, Yoann Moulin harpsichord. The art of Scottish tunes & songs was, from 1700 to 1900, a real institution which went far beyond the simple the simple framework of the traditional music. The English gentlemen were fond of these melodies with an intoxicating perfume, which melancholy and unbridled euphoria, so much so that anthological publications followed one another succeeded one another over the generations...
