" This beautiful exhibition by two artists will teach you more about painting on porcelain or canvas. You'll be able to ask questions about the materials used, the techniques employed...and perhaps inspire you to get to work! "
Two artists from the Grand Est region present their works for a week. Huguette Lecomte, from Laval sur Vologne, is a painter of emotion and travel. Her paintings are an extension of her view of the world. Huguette Lecomte observes life, people and landscapes, immersing herself in them, feeling them... and her canvas is the natural extension of her gaze. She projects onto it her artist's sensibility, her perception of the world from which she wants to retain only the beauty, without affectation, in a subtle balance of realism and poetry. The woman of today, her favorite theme, is portrayed in the infinite range of her feelings and attitudes at the heart of our society. Jeannine Gillmann, from Barr, paints porcelain objects such as vases, pocket trays, candleholders and other decorative elements, using a pen, brush or sponge, and then fires them at high temperature to bring out the colors.
