The Confluence(S) Vocal Ensemble, with its fifteen members and its choirmaster Roland Schaffhauser, offers you a concert in two parts. The name of the vocal ensemble, Confluence(S), recalls the place(s) where music intersects, where friendships are made, where voices are entwined. The first part of the concert is dedicated to the psalms of the Reformation with texts in French versified by the poets of the 16th century (Marot, d'Aubigné, Baïf...) and set to music by their contemporaries (Goudimel, Le Jeune, Sweelinck, Mauduit...). The second part is dedicated to French songs harmonized for vocal ensemble with pieces from the XVIth to the XXth century (Compère, Janequin, Sermisy, Debussy, Poulenc...). The popular song is not forgotten in this program (J'ai descendu dans mon jardin, Sous les ponts de Paris...)
