Accordion and World Music Concert

The Municipal School of Music, Dance and Drawing of Obernai welcomes the Akkordeonorchester der Städt. Sing- und Musikschule München for an evening dedicated to the accordion and world music with the participation of the EMMDD workshop of the same name. With 25 musicians (accordion and rhythm section), the Akkordeonorchester der Städt. Sing- und Musikschule München was founded in 1986 and has performed in numerous concerts throughout Europe as well as in the United States and China. Winner of several competitions (notably in New York), this accordion orchestra offers a repertoire of classical music, film music, pop-rock as well as original compositions for this type of ensemble. The stage will be shared with the EMMDD's World Music workshop, under the direction of their accordion teacher, Christophe Oury, who will complete the program with Mediterranean, Klezmer and Balkan music, before a joint finale bringing together the two groups.
