The Association des Amis de l'Orgue Merklin invites you to an organ recital with Luigi Mengoni, born in Florence in 1970, computer engineer by profession, self-taught organist and composer. He has given numerous concerts in Italy and France and inaugurated new instruments. His works have been performed at major festivals and prestigious venues such as St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, St. Gallen Cathedral (Switzerland), the Madeleine Church in Paris, and the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic (Russia). In 2018, with his Triptyque de Noël, he won second prize in the composition competition organized by the city of Burghausen (Germany) for the bicentenary of the carol "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht" ("Silent Night").
