" La Poudrière de Sélestat, a heritage site recently converted into an art gallery, presents this exhibition which skilfully dialogues between disciplines and eras. "
Martin Matrat alias Nitram reinterprets the work of Albrecht Dürer.
By revisiting the apocalypse of the great Renaissance artist, Nitram is building a bridge between his profession as an expert in rare and antiquarian books (Librairie la Jument Verte - Strasbourg) and his passion for contemporary art.
For the first time, he will be showing his 16 plates inspired by Dürer's Apocalypse of 1498. Other more ‘free’ works on the theme will also be on show.
Yannick Kraemer's gallery will be delighted to support the artist for the occasion.
The Jument Verte bookshop will be offering a selection of contemporary books by Albrecht Dürer, including incunabula.
