Every summer, Dominique offers you a walk on the slopes of Wihr-au-Val. She will explain the vegetative cycle of the vine, the work of the winegrower and the history of this century-old vineyard.
Minimum 8 people, maximum 20 people for the tour in French and 10 for the tour in English.
Duration: 3 hours
Meet at 9:30am at the Schoenheitz winery. From there, go to the 15th century Saint Michel ossuary chapel and discover all the charms of this village of a thousand legends. From the top of the Herrenreben, enjoy the view over the valley, smell the scents of the flora and learn how we work. On the way back to the village, you will see the 19th century church of St Martin.
At around 11am, return to the cool cellar. While following the path of the grapes, discover what mean the words "pneumatic press, stainless steel tank or alcoholic fermentation...".
Finally, the tour ends with the tasting of several wines; dry, sweet, sparkling or red wine, here again, we will be able to guide you to better understand our beautiful Alsace grape varieties.
