What is the Collégiale Saint-Thiéabut?

After Strasbourg Cathedral, the Collégiale de Thann is one of the most representative examples of Rhenish Gothic architecture in Alsace, combining the 3 forms of Gothic style: primitive, radiant and flamboyant. It owes its name to the college of canons that moved here in 1442. Construction of this monument lasted over two centuries, from the end of the 13th century to 1516. The west facade features a remarkable triple tympanum portal with over 500 figures. Inside, you'll find the chapel of Saint Thiébaut and the chapel of the Virgin. The choir features 15th-century stalls and stained-glass windows.
