Ensemble vocal Confluence(S) invites listeners to join them on a new journey around the Baltic. On the program: popular and sacred works in bright or subdued colors from Estonia, Finland, Ingria, Sweden... The songs of the peoples of Northern Europe are inspired by nature, forests and the sea, celebrate love and honor the Virgin Mary, praise God and celebrate wine... Guest composers: Tormis, Pärt, Sibelius, Rautavaara, Stenhammar, Fjellheim... Fourteen members make up the Confluence(S) vocal ensemble, directed by Roland Schaffhauser. Since it was founded 6 years ago, the vocal ensemble has been committed to discovering new repertoires, including popular songs that stir the souls of all peoples. Whether scholarly or light music, secular or sacred, ancient or contemporary, the vocal ensemble diversifies the programs offered to its faithful listeners. Confluence(S) is supported by the town of Eguisheim, where the association is headquartered.
