Water tower

Built in 1906, this water tower owes its existence to the military administration. Although the creation of a drinking water network was necessary as early as the 1880s, the municipality first rejected the idea because of the cost and technical difficulties. In 1887, it gave in under pressure from the military administration. This is the genesis of Sélestat's drinking water network. The water tower is still in operation today.
