Passionate about history, Francis KLEE, oenologist at KUEHN, offers you a walk punctuated with anecdotes in the heart of the wine town of Ammerschwihr.
Alsace is a region steeped in history, marked in particular by wars. Ammerschwihr lived through tragic times and was more than 85% destroyed during the Second World War.
Today rebuilt, this charming village on the Alsace Wine Route conceals many treasures behind its ramparts.
Francis KLEE, oenologist of the Kuehn house and passionate about history, will take you through the narrow streets and vineyard paths to tell you some anecdotes about Ammerschwihr.
Back at the estate, you will go down into the "Hell Cellar", 7 metres underground. There, he will explain to you all the specificities of Kaefferkopf, a Grand Cru with a particular character which is the pride of the village, over a candlelit tasting.
