The Commune of Soultzmatt created a route of Alsatians Poets, the ""Dichterwag vu Soultzmatt"" to highlight both the Alsatian literary heritage and the beauty of our region. The route is interspersed with signs bearing the texts of great Alsatian poets and songwriters, accompanied by their French translation. Poets presented include among others: Nathan KATZ, Roland EULER, Gérard LESER, Sylvie REFF, Isabelle GRUSSENMEYER, Raymond MATZEN, René SCHICKELE, J-P SORG, Claude DIRINGER, Edgar ZEIDLER, Alfred KASTLER, Pierre HANGARTER, Bernard ZINK, André WECKMANN, Paul-Georges KOCH. The route starts and ends from the centre of Soultzmatt. It is about 3 km and the walk is about 2 hours. The landscape includes a view over Soultzmatt Valley and in the distance you can see Orschwihr Issenheim and the entire Alsatian plain, from Mulhouse to Neuf-Brisach. While walking on the sides of the vineyard famous for the Great Wine of ZINNKOEPFLE, you will discover the beauty of our local land. Love, seasons, heritage, spirituality, identity, wine and Mythical Places of the Noble Valley are among the topics discussed during the ramble. By the discovery of this landscape that inspires, through meditation of these remarkable texts, tasting of these exceptional wines, we can access a certain form of happiness!
