Dominicains heritage library and museum

Since June 25, 2022, all curious people, lovers of architecture and books, discover or rediscover with pleasure the premises of the library of the Dominicans of Colmar.
A magnificent restoration has turned the former municipal library into an exceptional centre dedicated to books in all their forms. A brand new setting for a large collection: some 400,000 documents, including 1.200 manuscripts - 400 of which are medieval from the great abbeys of Upper Alsace -, 2.300 incunabula, and 10.000 16th century books. And access is free for all! Don't miss its cloister and its medieval garden.
Reading room open Monday to Saturday: 2pm-6pm.
