Saint-Dominique Church

Description

"This church is one of the oldest Marian sanctuaries in Alsace, founded in 991 by the bishop of Strasbourg. Both a pilgrimage church and a parish church serving a community of nuns since 1289, it remained the mother church of the parish of Thann until 1389. It was also the meeting place of the brotherhood of the Ménétriers de Haute Alsace, the brotherhood of the weavers and the brotherhood of the winegrowers.
