Dating to before 1366, it was one of Alsace’s largest Jewish burial grounds, and likely the oldest as well. Dating back to before 1366, this is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Alsace, and undoubtedly the oldest as well. Nestling in a forest, the cemetery extends across 4 hectares and contains more than 6,000 tombs. It is still used today.
