The Jewish cemetery

" Immerse yourself in the singular atmosphere of this timeless site nestled in the heart of the forest. Dating to before 1366, it was one of Alsace’s largest Jewish burial grounds, and likely the oldest as well. Informational panels at the entrance to the site will help you better understand the visit. "

Dating back to before 1366, this is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Alsace, and undoubtedly the oldest as well. Nestling in a forest, the cemetery extends across 4 hectares and contains more than 6,000 tombs. It is still used today.
