" The largest classical music festival in Alsace. "
PERCUSSIONS DE STRASBOURG Founded in 1962 - over 60 years ago! - The Percussions de Strasbourg are world-renowned and still relevant today, thanks to their modernity and ability to reinvent themselves to suit different repertoires. Invited for the first time to the Colmar International Festival, the Percussions de Strasbourg will be making the vaults of Saint-Matthieu resound for a concert that's a must-see! On the programm: a trio of musicians playing percussion keyboards. Interspersed between three Sonatas in trio for organ by Johann Sebastian Bach, Rain Tree by Toru Takemitsu and Les Invariants by Michaël Levinas take the works of the German composer back in time. Centuries after their compositions, these sonatas continue to adapt to their time without losing their essence, and the presence of works from our own time reminds us that Johann Sebastian Bach is still very much with us today. And let's not forget Xenakis' Psappha and Rebonds, the signature pieces of Les Percus, among others! Four centuries of rhythmic research! PROGRAM J.S Bach, Trio Sonata for Organ No. 6, BWV 530 I. Xenakis, Okho M. Levinas, Les Invariants I. Xenakis, Psappha J.S Bach, Trio Sonata for Organ No. 3, BWV 527 I. Xenakis, Rebonds A I. Xenakis, Rebonds B Toru Takemitsu, Rain Tree
