At the beginning of autumn, the harvest period brings the chance to taste vin nouveau, the famous "Neier Siasser". In a friendly atmosphere, taste the precious nectar alongside a gourmet plate of local products: charcuterie, bread, nuts, grapes, and cheeses. Conviviality is rooted in the philosophy of independent winegrowers, and so is the spirit of this event. One more opportunity to (re)discover the independent winegrower, a genuine local artisan.

Grape harvester for a day

When the days start getting shorter, and the landscapes take on stunning colours, it's time for the harvest: the most beautiful time of year in the vineyards. As the morning mist evaporates over the plain, the sun begins to warm the hillsides of vines and excitement fills the air. Throw on your apron, grab a pruner, and spend the day helping harvest the magnificent grapes. Your winegrower-in-chief will show you the right way to remove the leaves, cut, and sort. It might be slow going at first, but you'll get the hang of it. In a friendly atmosphere, learn how wine is made first-hand from the winegrower. When it's time for a break, sit down with your companions for the day and taste last year's harvest while sharing a traditional harvester’s meal. An experience that's sure to remain engraved in your memory for years to come.

Immerse yourself in the life of a winegrower with a unique encounter learning all about this fascinating trade, first-hand directly at the winery. All year long, winegrowers work their vineyards while respecting the land and the terroir. They make and sell their own wine all while sharing their passion. Depending on the season, you can help in the vineyards or in the cellars. The experience continues as you learn the fundamentals of the palate before a wine tasting. You'll go home with a "Winegrower for a Day" diploma, alongside a feeling of accomplishment.

Every year, the Whitsun weekend is a unique opportunity to get together for a picnic! Enjoy the charming vineyard, the terroir, the spring landscapes, and the mild weather as nature slowly emerges from winter. The concept is simple, with your packed lunch in hand, come meet one of the winegrowers in the heart of the vineyard. Everything is in place: tables and chairs, and sometimes even a barbecue. In the cellar, the winegrower gives you a taste of the wines while explaining the different facets of the trade. Enjoy one of the many activities on offer: hiking in the vineyard, treasure hunt, wooden games, outdoor concerts, carriage rides, and more. As you can see, there's everything you need to have a great time!

Independent winegrowers invite you for a delectable experience. Discover surprising food and wine pairings as you taste the wines of Alsace. Listen as the winegrowers passionately explain the rich palette of aromas, while giving advice on how to become an expert on pairings and what to avoid. An event held every Friday from Ascension Day to mid-August.
