Offered by the Association Les Amis de l'orgue Merklin, as part of the Mardis de l'Orgue Merklin program, every 15 days from June 27 to August 22, 2023. With Alberto ASTOLFI (Italy) on trumpet and Alessandro MAZZANTI on organ. Alberto ASTOLFI was born in Bologna. He enjoys a brilliant career as a soloist in numerous chamber music ensembles, including the celebrated I Solisti di Bologna, and in symphony orchestras conducted by prestigious conductors. He is currently a member of the Italian Petronius brass ensemble. Alessandra MAZZANTI studied music at the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna. She defended a research thesis on Gregorian chant in lyrical and symphonic music. She is currently organist at the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua in Bologna. A choral and orchestral conductor, she has directed the Fabio da Bologna polyphonic choir since 1995, and founded the Fabio da Bologna orchestra the same year.
